Childhood is one of the stages in which parents forge the path of their children and what better time to teach the habit of saving to the youngest members of the household without necessarily becoming a complicated task.

According to Ordaz Díaz, the transmission of knowledge at an early age allows avoiding problems in the future, the same in the case of issues related to financial education. There are three pillars of financial strength that will help pave the way for your children to build their financial future based on savings. The first has to do with making money; the second with knowing how to manage it and the third with making money grow. You have the foundations, but how to build these pillars? In the case of the first, which has to do with earning money, it is necessary to talk to the children about everything that obtaining resources implies, how to do it and teach them everything about money.

The construction of the second pillar (knowing how to manage it) has to do, to a large extent, with the actions that are established at home, for example, when parents make purchases, allocate resources for savings or an emergency fund or simply do not have the habit of saving, are signs with which children grow up and sometimes replicate when they are adults. Regarding the third pillar, which is related to making your money grow, the director of Financial Education at Citibanamex explains that in Mexico the issue of investments is still a challenge since "that is not generally taught", however currently with tools such as Afores or Cetesdirecto accounts for children will allow you to build a long-term investment that will serve to face moments of crisis, hence the importance of parents setting an example and accompanying their children in building their financial path.
