La serie de Comentarios de CLIE basado en evangelio de Marcos es un texto esencial para el estudiodel cristianismo, pues expone la vida mesiánica en detalle de Jesús desarrollando la primera teología fundada en ella. La trama del Evangelio de Marcos ylas bases de su argumento fueron utilizadas de un modo directo por Mateo y Lucas, e indirectamente por Juan.  

El autor Xavier Pikazaha incluido una variedad de esquemas y tablas, así como textos explicativos insertados en el propio texto o enumerados al final de las distintas secciones, que sirven de resumen, y que ayudan a trazar conexiones con temas de interés actual. Además se incluye un elaborado índice por temas enumerados por orden de aparición en el texto evangélico, alfabéticamente y por materias, para facilitar una visión que coordine el pensamiento, los temas y la teología de Marcos, en relación con una variedad de temas específicos. 

Ciertamente, en la visión del cristianismo, sigue siendo esencial la aportación de Pablo; pero sin la historia de Jesús que ofrece Marcos, la teología de Pablo hubiera terminado perdiendo su "mordiente", que es inseparable de la humanidad de Jesús. 

Commentary on The Gospel of Mark 

The CLIE Commentary series based on the Gospel of Mark is an essential text for the study of Christianity, since it exposes the messianic life of Jesus in detail, developing the first theology based on it. The plot of Mark's Gospel and the basis of its argument were used directly by Matthew and Luke, and indirectly by John. 

Author Xavier Pikaza has included a variety of diagrams and tables, as well as explanatory texts inserted in the text itself or listed at the end of the different sections, which serve as a summary, and which help to draw connections with topics of current interest. In addition, an elaborate subject index is included, listed in order of appearance in the Gospel text, alphabetically and by subject, to facilitate a coordinated view of Mark's thought, themes and theology in relation to a variety of specific topics. 

Certainly, in the vision of Christianity, Paul's contribution remains essential; but without the story of Jesus offered by Mark, Paul's theology would have ended up losing its uniqueness, which is inseparable from the humanity of Jesus.
